FME TVET Batch A & B Cohorts Application Update & Stipend Payment 2026/2027; the Federal ministry of education technical and vocational education and training (FME TVET) is pleased to announce the commencement of batch 2 cohorts training program across the 36 states and FCT, if you have applied for the program waste no time, go to your center and do the compulsory biometric 10 finer thumb printing
The skills acquisition program is for applicants who want to contribute to the economy by acquiring skills and becoming self-employed, this skills program will also equipped applicants will be well suited for jobs in the labor market.
The trainings are free and fully funded by the government, where monthly stipends of N22,500 will be paid to each participant
Application for this program is still ongoing and applicants are matched daily in according to centers needing candidates, log on to TVET website and complete your application, wait to for centers to be given before completing the application
The skill acquisition program is for both 6 months and 12 months courses, applicants are required to select their skill and follow-up with training, at the end of the program, applicants would have closed Nigeria’s skills gap, empower the youth for self-reliance, create a pipeline of skilled workers for industries, promote national development through vocational excellence and many more

Batch A cohort training has ended and applicants yet to be paid are advised to wait for their stipend on or before the third quarter of the year 2026, this is because of budgetary allocation and disbursement of fund

Batch B cohort stipend will be paid by June 2026 after completing or fulfilling the mandated 80 percent attendance

TVET 6 Month Duration Entry Requirements:
Ideal For: First-time trainees, school leavers, or individuals with no formal education background.
Valid National Identification Number (NIN) Valid Bank Verification Number (BVN)
No prior educational qualification required. This track is designed for individuals ready to learn a practical skill and enter the workforce quickly.
TVET 12 Month Duration Entry Requirements (Any Of The Following):
Ideal For: Individuals with some education or informal training experience, looking to deepen and formalize their skills.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – proof of skills acquired informally or through apprenticeship
- OR
First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
- OR
- Any form of non-formal education certificate (e.g., training from NGOs, religious institutions, nomadic education or community programs)
